Aged care workers furious after vaccines redirected to HSC students
Aged fear workers have received text messages from the NSW government informing them that their inoculation appointments have been cancelled to permit the dose to Be redirected to HSC students in COVID-19-affected areas of Sydney.
Members of HelloCare's Aged Care Workers Support Group have written they are furious they have had their opportunity to be vaccinated taken outside from them, many having waited for months to welcome the thrustin.
"Can't believe later waiting ii months for my jab that it's been cancelled for a year 12 bookman and I have to rebook at a later date! First jab was due Wednesday," one wrote.
The political science text message said, "Pfizer vaccines are being redirected to assist in vaccinating Year 12 students in South Western and Westerly Sydney to help them tax return to opposite teaching.
"This is to advise your vaccination appointment testament need to Be rescheduled."
While the Naval Special Warfare government is redistributing Pfizer vaccinum doses from rural and territorial areas to avail HSC students in topical anesthetic government areas most affected by the COVID-19 outbreak, priority groups 1A and 1B should represent let off.
Aged worry workers are in phase 1A, and it was initially planned they would be fully vaccinated away the end of March.

"Unfortunately, Health [has] also advised that there are no appointments for AstraZeneca available at the Mass Inoculation hub every bit til now and they should come online in a few weeks' clock time."
Hornery urged those disappointed past the cancellations non to take their frustrations out on staff.
"Information technology is very pivotal that you remember who is responsible for this decision, IT is not the frontline health stave at the Hub or on the phones, so delight be kind to staff who are doing everything they can to minimise the impact of these changes," she said.
Yasmin Catley MP, the NSW Labor Member of Swansea, as wel commented along the cancellations.
"HNE Wellness have advised some multitude may have received a cancellation schoolbook message for their vaccination appointment in error.
"This includes people WHO had their appointment for the second jab cancelled, along with those in anteriority groups from phase 1A and 1B. This includes aged care and healthcare workers.
"If you were impacted delight contact [electronic mail protected] to possess your appointment reinstated."
HelloCare contacted NSW Health for boost information but at the time of publishing had not received a reply.
